Paraphrase of Lutheran Sermon

After reading 1 Kings 17: 8-16, Hebrews 9:24-28, and Mark 12:38-44 let those who have ears, let them hear.
The Holy Spirit of Adonai spoke through a Pastor today.

We spoke of the woman with the last few coins, and that certainly she had paid more than all the rest.
This was a financial sermon, and we spoke of matters of Patience.
How much do we pay, when the price has been paid on full?
We must show the people the worth of Jesus of Nazareth. There is a heavenly treasurer. We have to work to have trust in the kingdom, personally and as a church.

There are those who have lost their homes. We have to generate income and can give to charities. We demonstrate faith by supporting the poor. We can all learn a lesson from the poor widow.
“It is not wealth that grants us life.” Reference to the man who built huge barns, and then the word of the Lord came thundering, ‘You fool, this very night your life will be required of you’.

Have Patience!  Wait on the Lord!
He is with you always.
